Park Plaza
One of three tourist-class Palenque hotels, the Misión
is a motel-style property of recent construction. 160
large rooms are decorated with bold indigo blues and
oranges, and have terraces, color TV and mini-bar. Nicely
kept grounds include a swimming pool, natural spring,

Palenque's newest four star property, the Plaza

Centrally located near the zócalo, this charming inn
is housed in a restored colonial mansion. Stunning courtyard lobby features arched portals, a
grotto-like fountain, glazed tile flooring all done in

units have custom decor, beamed ceilings, carpeted

Inaugurated in 1992, this colonial gem (formerly the
Hotel Español) is one of the city's prettiest hotels.
Lovely flower-filled interior courtyard with babbling
fountain. Older section of hotel is a former mansion.
Many of the 100 renovated rooms have fireplaces; all have

14-room guest house. Cozy rooms have fireplaces, bathtubs

Housed in the city's oldest colonial-era building
(the Casa Diego Mazariegos), the Santa Clara is on the
city's main square. It is a 16th century
former mansion that has been restored into one of
Mexico's nicest small inns. 42 rooms have spacious

Opened in 1994, the Camino Real is a strikingly
modern five-story hilltop building with reflective glass
exterior. 210 rooms are done in contemporary decor with
